Great for self-study
I love Max Lucado! His writing are on point and down to earth. His Lesson books make you think, not just answer obvious questions like other series I've tried.
Great Stuff
First and foremost, I am a fan of Max Lucado fan. So I know that any literature by him is going to be great. I had the opportunity to lead a small group Bible study this past spring and I chose this particular study because of its topics throughout the 12 weeks. The book of James is a great chapter for me because its basis is all about how we should live out our lives. The people in our study really liked how Max connected the verses of James to real life situations and they thought his questions each week were very thought provoking and great for discussions. This book did not disappoint. In fact, they would like a new series from Max next fall. I recommend this series to all.
Sad day for confetti
Received this today, with the spiral binding, crushed in the middle, and the back pretty much off the book. Amazon gave me a refund, and I don't have to send it back, but it is not something I can use in the shape it is in anyway. I hope this one is an exception to the quality rule, but this one is a day for confetti!!!
